It is still an insult but I've noticed that left wing insults carry less weight than their right wing counterparts. This is because whenever a hot new insult comes out it's effective and makes rightoids seethe for ±1 week and then becomes totally ineffective because they just start owning the title. This applies in all cases except the word "Nazi" specifically because that's still taboo. Even if you call one of these people a fascist (online) they're unlikely to get offended by it and will simply be like "yeah im a fascist, what are you gonna do about it", even irl, there is this one video where this leftist journalist is interviewing this guy who looks like what pops into your head when I say "right-wing soyboy" and he's like "so you're a fascist, then?" and the guy does this dorky little laugh and goes "yeah i guess i am a fascist" and then the whole room pretty much laughs it off. anyways the point is this proves rightoids are evil because rather than reflecting on labels thrown at them they simply absorb them, which makes them impervious in debate, and is why chūd doesn't carry the weight like it used to when people used it to describe /pol/cacas.
>b-but doesn't the left also own insults!? what about when people called you guys commies and you accepted it and let communists in!that's true but the difference being that communism is a distinct ideology from liberalism and certain forms of socialism such as social democracy which is essentially capitalism with socialist… social policy (not to mention fringe leftist ideologies like anarchism) while fascism is the logical endpoint of the current mainstream rightoid position which is authright rather than the cultured right-winger's choice of libertarianism.
