it's possible. then I was a young lad, in the city where I grew up. then abos from woodridge and the pacific islanders from kingston had their little race war boil over into open race riots that lasted for like a week. the police final got involved to put an end to it when the woodridge boys(the abos) started ripping the palings off nearby fences, turning them into spears and using their woomeras to fire them into the crowd of islanders. if I remember correctly the whole thing started over a series of minor street gang murders and it all exploded when some kids got thrown infront of and oncoming train.
