The opening post is a reference to country singer Jerry Reed's 1970 hit single 'Amos Moses'. The song follows the life of a fictional alligator poacher in Louisiana. A sheriff sets out to catch him in the act, but not only does he fail to bring Amos to justice- the sheriff goes missing in a swamp inhabited by predators weighing hundreds of kilograms and the man who hunts them for a living. The song verse combined with the attached crocodilian caricature gives the impression of an alligator feigning ignorance about the man's fate.
