I've been wondering if it's over again, I'm never sure if this place or the tf2 server will disappear first, but this place can remain alive with low amounts of activity while tfshitty can't, in the past when things were grim here I considered it fine that this place be a shell community for art and conversations instead of taking off, that's how I hope it goes if this continues
People feel disappointed these days since the posts per day continued reaching new heights often sometime until a few weeks ago, but no interesting and meaningful ('goated') people like the existing bintoids turned up, and when the site becomes relatively inactive again it stings the people here since there's no progress
This site spent many months of it's existence way below these levels but things going this way suggests to people that we can't break out of the hood and become a sensational thing, it was mind boggling to reach 1000 posts and we average 2k/wk now but the writing is on the wall despite that
I think the tf2 server might be cooked, I could talk about it for ages but if it comes to the server will be left on, the chances of seeing meaningful activity will be close to 0
bnat is way more important than that but I did everything I could till now, sometimes I've treated it in a sink or swim manner but that was just experimentation to help the site become sustainable, I sent this website to 400+ people I've known personally since November, the soycuck touhou fans are cool and the 4chan banners did really well, but it hasn't become highly sustainable and able to maintain huge levels of activity, it's best to call it out and get ready for whatever the status quo becomes

To expand on the part about goated people, I should mention that the tf2 server seems devastated by the same problem: western otaku average on being ants, every goated person (high IQ, experienced, well read, interesting, productive, nice fragrance) that could've shown up appears to already be in the environment or will never know it exists, you can only pray there's a light at the end of the tunnel where likeminded genius chads come flooding in (or accrue over time) but even the more reasonable depiction is fantasy. A friend (who is too shy to post) warned me that westoid otaku culture is inherently inferior, cannot be saved and does not need to be, and that everything may just be wasted time at my expense
I wrote this thread on another board then moved it here which put it below the bump order which is kinda funny since it looks cucked, I'll comment quickly on the tf2 server then move on

most people here and even there aren't in the know but it went through a boom and bust cycle from late june 2022 to sometime this year, it accidentally changed in format and experienced mass immigration and controversy, the IQ average of the community plummeted and the vibrant new people created massive discord issues, everyone before that point time averaged on being a really high IQ and worthwhile white or latino guy that had used imageboards for a long time, everyone after averaged on being illiterate and low IQ, nature took it's course and the server almost blew itself up a few times, the main issue was kiwifarmer and groyper type people infiltrating the community, their leadership looked at the situation and felt it was possible to knock me out and seize the server community with coordination and orchestrated drama, they actually got really far but started infighting and killed themselves a year ago, after that there weren't many issues, but most of the community is bored and plays a fraction as much, the game isn't very alive in general, there's no one interesting and valuable left to discover the server, and the low IQ + apathy damaged the infastructure the server had managed to develop, so these look like the final days to me, the server will be left on should it come to, it happens to be full right now but I suppose everything related to bant may be ending

>>4828Concerning the server specifically: I think banttf2 is fine. While I've noticed a decline in both randoms and regulars, this is a natural plateau imo. This server is much more resilient than most due largely to loose rules and an emphasis on freedom of expression combined with a strong userbase identity. If you want to bring in newfags, try doing more adverts on 4chan, scouting (poaching) users from other servers, and I think things will eventually go back to normal.
While I'm definitely not in favor of censorship its also worth noting that between cunny discussion and 'cism the server chat alone can scare off a lot of newfags. Just an observation.
Overall, kogastopia is definitely not in its golden age anymore, but it has a unique set of strengths (namely, a complete absence of infighting and drama) that i think will allow it to persevere despite setbacks

Follow-up: also its worth noting a lot of the guys who play here now joined around a holiday (namely, from between thanksgiving and halloween). Autumn in general is when tf2 player numbers grow bigly due to scream fortress so maybe stick it out for a bit until next fall and see if you can boost playercount around that time

Dont know about the tf2 server because i only played there like 3 times in my life, but i dont think /bantculture/ is losing any activity anytime soon desu. Its in a pretty nice spot as it is actually, not truly dead like, say 9ball in its last days (or luckychan on its only day of existance), but not blindingly fast either. Of course more posters is always good, but to attract truly massive amounts of posters you`ll have to cater to lowest caste of the internet, just look at 4cucks /b/ for example to see the correlation between speed/quality. You could say that there are other boards which are faster and have less trash, but they usually have their own topic not allowing cancer to take over. bbckultur on other hand maybe doesnt have a lot of posters but instead has a stable community without anyone leaving at its core leaving and shit, the only notable poster who did was the swede maybe.

pph rate is useless if it is maintained by few people, board felt less dead when it had ~200 posts a day few months ago.
in its current state 'ture is bloated af, i realized it when i was playing with abstractions for whalerpg gui recently. basically, at launch there were 2 boards (with only one being real) and 10 pages (12 threads per page) on each and it worked well because any shit thread could be easily slid off the log in a few days. now it is like 5 boards and 50 pages (15 threads per page) on the main board and shit threads are being bumped endlessly. on contrary /v/hu is just a single thread and it works better than todays bant simply because shit posts don't stay for months. and it is more touhou related than modern bant is, lol.
2/3 of the catalog is utter shit ie meta, politics, blogposting, l**kism so i propose drastically cutting down the amount of pages on the main board, 20 - 25 would be enough.

I think the tf2 server can survive albeit with less activity. I only see a slow bleed of tf2 players losing interest in the game.
